The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently issued a press release about a recall involving prescription drugs with dangerous packaging. According to the CPSC, Sandoz and Novartis are recalling prescription drug blister packages due to failing to meet child-restraint closure requirements. Apparently, the prescription drug packaging in question is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, which poses a poisoning risk of swallowed by children. At this time, approximately 470,000 units are being impacted by this recall.
