Last week, The Safety Institute requested an investigation be conducted and a recall issued of Kenmore model 790 ovens due to defective doors. Already, there have been over 300 consumer reports of the glass doors on these ovens shattering during oven use and non-use. Some consumers have even had replacement doors shatter a second, third or fourth time after replacement.
