A bicyclist struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Dublin was identified Thursday as 57-year-old Bo Hu.
Hu, whose listed residence is in China, was riding his bike or walking with it north on Dougherty Road near Willow Creek Drive when he was hit by a Mercedes-Benz about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Hu died at the scene. The driver continued north on Dougherty without stopping.
Investigators retrieved car parts from the roadway and determined that the vehicle was a dark-color, 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 or CLS63, said police Lt. Herb Walters. The scattering of car parts indicates the Mercedes has front-end damage, Walters said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police Sgt. Yesenia Sanchez at (925) 833-6682.
