On Tuesday afternoon, a female bicyclist was struck and killed in an East Oakland neighborhood. According to KRON Channel Four News, the collision happened near Prune and San Leandro Streets, sometime around 4:30 p.m. The bicyclist, a woman in her 30’s or 40’s, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver did stay on the scene to cooperate with authorities during the investigation.
Fatal Bicycle Collision Still Under Investigation in Oakland
At this time, it’s unclear how this bicycle-versus-car wreck happened. Very little information has been released about the fatal crash, and the incident is still under investigation with law enforcement officials.
