Early this morning a collision on Highway 238 in Hayward between a car and a big-rig left the car trapped under the semi.
As of this posting emergency responders were working to free a driver who is trapped in a car underneath a big rig, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Around 5:24 a.m., a sedan collided with two big rigs on Highway 238 just south of the Hesperian Boulevard off-ramp in Hayward. The crash pinned the sedan underneath one of the big rigs, and caused one of the big rigs to start leaking fuel, according to the CHP.
The right lane near the crash is blocked, and a left lane on-ramp to northbound Interstate 880 near the crash has been shut down. Alameda County Fire crews were working to extract the trapped driver from their vehicle as of 5:45 a.m.
