Since nearly 270,000 drivers cross the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge each day, Stanley Roberts with KRON Channel Four News wanted to report on some dangerous driving behaviors in the area. Not surprisingly, one of the most serious problems on the Bay Bridge toll plaza is distracted driving. During the report, a variety or distracted drivers were observed. Many drivers were on their smart phones or engaging in other distracted behaviors behind the wheel.
Stanley also observed quite a few violations of the carpooling lane, which requires at least three people in the vehicle. Motorists in the area are reminded to practice safe driving behaviors at all times.
