On Tuesday, a 90-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed in a San Jose neighborhood. KRON Channel Four News reports that the incident happened sometime before 5:43 p.m., near South Boscom Avenue. The elderly man was reportedly crossing the street when a southbound utility truck struck him. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he did not survive his injuries. The truck driver did pull over to cooperate with authorities.
The cause of this collision is still under investigation with the San Jose Police Traffic Investigations Unit. Initial reports indicate that alcohol or drugs were not suspected to be factors in this incident.
