Officials at San Francisco General Hospital have located the family of an elderly woman who suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car in San Francisco‘s Polk Gulch neighborhood earlier this month.
The victim was identified by her last Friday, a week after she was hit by a suspected drunken driver, according to SFGH spokeswoman Rachael Kagan.
The public’s help had been enlisted in trying to identify the woman as she was unable to speak and had no identification.
Kagan said the family did not want the victim’s name released to the public. She is still in critical condition.
Douglas Perine, 41, of San Francisco was charged with drunken driving in connection with the crash that put the woman in the hospital.
