One man killed and another was injured yesterday afternoon in East Oakland when a motorcycle and a vehicle collided, according to police.
Herman Gary, 30, of Hayward, was riding a motorcycle soutbhound on 73rd Avenue near Weld Street when a vehicle turned onto 73rd Avenue.
According to Oakland PD Officer J. Moore the vehicle blocked the path of the motorcycle and the two collided.
Gary was pronounced dead at the scene, his cause of death has not yet been determined, authorities said.
The vehicle’s driver was transported to a hospital where he is in stable condition. The crash is under investigation.
