The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced the recall of certain Kawasaki All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) models due to a potential fire hazard. According to the CPSC, these ATVs can leak fuel, which can pose a great risk of fire hazard and potential burn injuries for riders. The recall was issued on August 10, 2017 and currently impacts approximately 15,000 units. If you have one of these Kawasaki ATVs, you should stop using it immediately and contact Kawasaki for a free repair.

California in Top-Five Deadly States for ATV Riders
California remains one of the top-five deadliest states for ATV riders. The State of California comes in only behind Texas as the state with the most ATV-related deaths. To improve ATV safety, consumers are encouraged to follow manufacturers’ instructions for operation of vehicles. Helmets should always be worn, and children and adults should avoid riding on paved roadways. Equally important is ensuring all riders are properly trained and that children aren’t on adult-sized vehicles. If a manufacturing or design defect leads to an injury or a crash, it’s important to report the incident to the manufacturer and to the CPSC. You should also speak with a personal injury lawyer who has proven experience with product liability cases.
