An Amtrak train in San Jose fatally struck a man this morning, according to the San Jose Fire Department.
Fire Capt. Mary Gutierrez said the man was crossing the tracks at Monterey Highway and Capitol Expressway about 10:50 a.m., when the fire department got the call. The train was heading to Los Angeles.
