A man was struck and killed by a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail train Monday evening in north San Jose, according to police.
The collision was reported at 11:43 p.m. at North First Street and East Trimble Avenue, according to Officer Jose Garcia, a police spokesman.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision and identify the man.
