Traffic is currently blocked on northbound Highway 1 at Park Avenue and the Bay/Porter exit where just before 8 a.m. where an accident occurred in the right hand lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP says a man was hit by a vehicle; witnesses reported seeing a man jump in front of a truck traveling in the righthand lane. Drivers were seen swerving around the body to avoid hitting the man.
The right hand lane is closed but the CHP has two lanes open. The Sheriff’s Office is on scene investigating the incident as well as the Coroner’s Office.
