Two people were seriously injured on Tuesday when the driver lost control and veered into the path on an oncoming vehicle.
A 38 year-old woman and her 6 year old passenger suffered major injuries Tuesday afternoon after their vehicle collided with another on Camino Tassajara, according to a California Highway Patrol spokesman.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., the 38 yr-old woman was driving a gray 2002 Isuzu SUV was heading southbound on Camino Tassajara north of the Alameda-Contra Costa county line when it slid and struck a red 2011 Toyota RAV4 driving in the northbound lane, this according to CHP officer Steve Creel.
The Isuzu’s driver and 6-year-old passenger had major injuries. The woman was transported to Eden Medical Center, while the girl went to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
The 18-year-old driver of the RAV4 received minor injuries, Creel said. She was taken to San Ramon Regional Medical Center. The cause of the crash is under investigation, the CHP said.
