Over the weekend, a 17-year-old boy was seriously injured at a construction site in an Oakland neighborhood. NBC Bay Area News reports that concrete slabs from the home’s foundation fell on the teen, and he was pinned against a wall. It took firefighters on the scene about an hour to free the teen from the wreckage. At this time, there has been no word on how the concrete slab fell on the young man.
This incident happened at a home near San Antonio Park, East of Lake Merritt. Apparently, the teen was working for a construction crew that the homeowner hired for a job. There has been no word on the teen’s current condition.
